Gender imbalance among non-academic staff members

Sat 29.4.2017 2:02 pm

A gender imbalance can be observed among non-academic staff members at the Department of Information Systems: All members of the system administration team are men, while all team assistants and the librarian are women.

I think it depends. In other organizations the situation might be slightly different. The point is that too less men are willing to be a librarian as too less women are willing to work as system administrators. So, the roots of this issue is a way deeper. To eliminate it, girls and boys should feel free from stereotypes and people's opinions (which is an utopia) and choose what they really like.
